When one of the fastest-growing electric vehicle companies in the world pairs up with the grandest industry leader in its sector, you can only imagine what this new electric bus would be like. <\/span>Together <\/span>the duo of<\/span> BYD and U.S. Hybrid Corporation <\/span>is hoping to bring about<\/span> a bus developed as per Hawaii’s Clean Energy Initiative (HCEI) to meet sustainable energy objectives by reducing the overall dependency on imported oils <\/span>whilst<\/span> simultaneously <\/span>reducing greenhouse gas emissions<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

BYD is known for being one of the biggest manufacturers in the world of electric vehicles and has now moved on to being a global leader in the creation of battery-electric buses having over 40,000 buses in service across North America, South America, Asia, and Europe. BYD also established a name <\/span>for itself<\/span> by setting itself apart as an industry giant in the high-tech sector including producing high-efficiency automobiles. BYD is <\/span>certainly<\/span> making waves as being the Chinese automaker said to be behind <\/span>Tesla’s collapse in Europe<\/span><\/a> as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

U.S. Hybrid Corporation<\/span><\/h3>\n

U.S. Hybrid Corporation designs and manufactures electric fuel cell and hybrid powertrain systems for medium and heavy-duty commercial trucks, municipality vehicles, metro monorails, and transit buses <\/span>throughout the world<\/span>. With its design facility in Hawaii since 1999, U.S. Hybrid Corporation has <\/span>surely<\/span> become a noteworthy brand associated with big projects such as fuel-cell buses for Sunline Transit.<\/span><\/p>\n

These particular buses were created according to Hawaii’s Clean Energy Initiative (HCEI) to meet increasing sustainability requirements and <\/span>at the same time<\/span> serve<\/span> Honolulu\u2019s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 These greener buses were launched to serve this particular airport because <\/span>this airport<\/span> sees over 21 million passengers per year.<\/span> This new bus project resonates with the state’s overall goal of being powered 100% by renewable energy by <\/span>the year<\/span> 2045.<\/span><\/p>\n

The state’s largest employee-owned transport company <\/span>Robert’s Hawaii <\/span>will be the bus operator<\/span><\/strong> transporting<\/span> passengers to and from the airport’s terminals and <\/span>to<\/span> car rental facilities. Each bus uses BYD’s battery-electric platform and integrates hydrogen fuel cell technology <\/span>so as<\/span> to eliminate the dependency on regular charging.<\/span><\/p>\n

The launch of these new greener <\/span>solution buses <\/span>for airport passengers is <\/span>all<\/span> part of BYD’s core mission of <\/span>greening its fleet.<\/span><\/strong> BYD, one of the largest Chinese electrical vehicle companies, has taken on new orders to prove its mission to create more green-friendly modes of transportation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Recently, De Lijn (board of directors of a Flemish transport company) also approved an order for<\/span> 92 standard electric buses<\/span><\/strong> from BYD Europe. De Lijn <\/span>also is<\/span> on the same mission as BYD to green its fleet to ensure emission-free public transportation by 2035<\/span><\/p>\n

While electric cars and even buses are gaining much attention, the core requirement needed to clean up emissions from the transportation sector is to replace the trusted and faithful <\/span>diesel engine<\/span><\/strong>. Since diesel-powered trucks and buses are in use for longer periods of time, they produce quite a lot of pollution. Electrifying future cars and even buses is a big win for the world. Heavy-duty electric vehicles such as electric buses are set to be the future of transportation and that would mean far less harm to the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n
