They did not see that. The idea traces back to a <a href=\"https:\/\/ui.adsabs.harvard.edu\/abs\/1983ApJ...270..365M\/abstract\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1983 paper<\/a> by Mordehai Milgrom in The Astrophysical Journal, which proposed a different rule for low-acceleration motion in galaxies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This new result does not just prefer standard gravity, it also undercuts MOND-style predictions in this specific test.
