The White House has just announced one of the best news stories for thousands of Americans who have been waiting for financial assistance (especially after the end of SNAP in several states). If you meet these two requirements, because there are only two, you are going to receive $1500/Monthly Payments to enjoy the summer. Do you know which social benefits program we are talking about? It is one of the most anticipated of the year, so don’t miss the opportunity to apply for it.

New payments in Chapter 35 VA benefits: COLA has changed everything

As a dependent or survivor of a veteran, you have access to valuable educational benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance (DEA) program. The VA has recently announced the 2024 DEA payment rates, providing a comprehensive guide on maximizing these benefits.

The DEA program offers monthly stipends to help cover the costs of education and training for eligible individuals. The VA meticulously calculates these benefits based on several factors, including the type of education or training pursued, the number of courses attended, and the duration of on-the-job training or apprenticeships.

However, the COLA for 2025 will affect the amounts of money you will go on to collect, and now it has been confirmed what they will be (with good news). We want to do a review so you know how much money you will receive during the months of next year, taking into account how inflation has grown during this year (of which we are only in the first half).

Money amounts for Chapter 35 VA benefits: how much will you receive within the next months?

The increase in Chapter 35 VA Benefits has been explained in a somewhat confusing way over the last few days, so we want to simplify it as much as possible so you know how much money you will receive in a simple way and in several keys (remember that it may change depending on your specific situation, but it should remain at these amounts):

  • Full-time enrollment: $1488/Monthly.
  • 3/4-time enrollment: $1176/Monthly.
  • 1/2-time enrollment: $862/Monthly.

Note that if your enrollment is between 1/4-time and 1/2-time, you are in one of the so-called “special situations”. Hence, you will receive the lesser of:

  • $862/Monthly.
  • The total cost of the tuition and fees.

Moreover, if your enrollment is between 1/4-time and less, you will get the lesser of:

  • $372/Monthly.
  • The total cost of the tuition and fees.

What if you are in a training or apprenticeship program? This is the money you will receive during 2025

The DEA’s payment structure for training and apprenticeship programs also depends on the duration of your enrollment. Remember to always rely on official sources, such as, in this case, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs:

  • 1 to 6 months of enrollment: $945 per full month.
  • 7 to 12 months of enrollment: Decreasing rates as the enrollment duration increases
  • More than 12 months of enrollment: Further decreasing rates.

This leads to the idea that the VA pays the Chapter 35 VA Benefits Amount 2024 directly to the student through a direct deposit and not to the school. However, the payment amounts do not take into consideration issues to do with enrollment hiatus, like winter break or summer break.

Are you eligible for Chapter 35 VA Benefits? If so, you can already receive $1500/Monthly Payments to improve your financial situation. This is one of the programs that has been revalued the most with the 2024 COLA, and it is also one of the programs that will undergo changes in 2025. We told you about them several weeks ago, and you can still check them out on our website, but here’s some good news you’ll want to hear.
