Jaguar SUV recall

In a massive recall by Jaguar, approximately 121,000 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles have been recalled throughout the United States. The reason for the recall is due to a suspension failure that may result in affected steering control. All models through the years 2014 and 2017 are affected, as per the many consumer reports that came through, along with the technical evaluations conducted that revealed problems with the vehicle’s front suspension knuckle. Vehicle owners will need to take the necessary action to ensure their safety is put first.

Understanding the full reason behind the recall of SUVs

The decision to recall some SUVs was announced more or less in mid-August and dealt with a structural vulnerability in terms of the front suspension upper knuckle joint. The component was so vulnerable that it cracked under pressure, causing the suspension arm to detach completely in certain cases. The affected component had been manufactured by SuperAlloy Industrial of Taiwan and is quite a hazardous risk that is worth taking note of and fixing.

Thus far, there have been no reported accidents or injuries that have directly resulted from the issue. Nevertheless, the number of related claims received as per the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) report is quite high. Thus far, 110 related claims have been received within the U.S. between September 2015 and July 2025. The issue had been discussed by Transport Canada and JLR, and later, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) got involved in the discussion as well.

Discussions led to the recall registered with campaign numbers D019, N759, D041, and D027, which were meant to replace the NHTSA recall 24V840. All SUV drivers affected are said to receive their notification letters detailing the recall by September 30, 2025, at the latest.

More about the affected models from the recall

As per this particular recall of about 121,000 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport vehicles, two particular models have been recalled:

  • 2014–2017 Range Rover

  • 2014–2017 Range Rover Sport

As per this recall, all retailers have been informed to check both front suspension knuckles carefully, as that is where the problem can be found. A retaining bracket will be further installed so as to reinforce the joint. When cracks are discovered, the knuckle will be replaced without any costs to customers.

Further customer support will be provided by the Land Rover Customer Service, and all drivers can verify whether their particular vehicle is affected by the recall or not. All customers, including those in Delaware, are requested to schedule an inspection at their earliest convenience once they receive a notification letter.

Ford, another motor vehicle company, to recalling vehicles

Like Jaguar, Ford Motor Company has been issuing many separate recalls during this year, with more than 170,000 vehicles being affected. From a recall over an oil leak to more serious recalls, such as the recall that involved 103,174 F-150 trucks (model years 2023–2025) due to potential rear axle failures.

Also on the list of Ford recalls is the recall of over 270,000 vehicles due to a fire risk. Ford, just like Jaguar, is following protocol to ensure that all reports made by consumers are taken seriously and that all hazards found when driving the vehicle are fully eliminated.

A brief overview of this recall affecting SUVs

The recall is one that puts drivers’ safety at the forefront and shows how critical safety is. The recall of more than 121,000 Range Rover SUVs shows that structural design flaws will result in risks if left unattended. For this reason, all affected owners of the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models are encouraged to act at once by verifying their vehicle and scheduling an appointment once notification letters are received. This recall follows the more recent recall issued by Ford that affected over 600,000 vehicles.
