ECOticias.com «El Periódico Verde» is a digital daily specialising in environmental news, published by AZOR PARTNERS SL and running continuously since 2004. Our newsroom works across three editions: the Spanish site (ecoticias.com), the English-language Econews (ecoticias.com/en) and HoyECO (ecoticias.com/hoyeco). This masthead explains how the newsroom is organised, what each role does and how to reach us.
How the newsroom is structured
The team is organised into three levels of editorial responsibility, all bound by our editorial policy and our corrections policy.
- Editorial direction. Sets the editorial line, oversees all three editions and holds ultimate responsibility for what we publish, including corrections and compliance with our standards.
- Section editors. Area editors commission, coordinate and review content before publication across each specialism: Environment, Nature, Renewable Energy, CO2, Climate Change, Sustainability, Waste and Recycling, Organic Food, Healthy Living, Electric Mobility and Eco America. They check sources and attribution in every piece.
- Writers and contributors. Specialist staff writers and contributors produce the reporting, following our verification rules and citing primary sources wherever possible.
Bylines and authorship
Every article is published with a byline that identifies its author. Where pen names are used, they map to real members of staff or to contributors, and editorial responsibility for that content rests with ECOticias.com. We do not publish pieces without authorship that is attributable within the newsroom.
