While the second-gen Tesla Roadster was initially unveiled back in 2017, Tesla fans waited for 8 years without any signs of the Roadster being brought to the fore. Tesla teased its fans with the Roadster specs and firmly asserted that the Roadster would go from 0-60 mph within seconds and have a 200 kWh battery pack, promising a 1,000-kilometer range. Despite the initial teasing of these promising specs, nothing resulted from all the hype, and this felt like a letdown to many Tesla enthusiasts.
Tesla missed production deadlines far too often, resulting in the Roadster’s release being pushed further down the line. While the Roadster has always promised far too much, Tesla has continuously failed to deliver on their promises. The Roadster will surely deliver on its “SpaceX package: promise. The SpaceX package would include utilizing cold air thrusters in order to get the vehicle to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 1,1 seconds. Basically, the vehicle will blast off. Still, Tesla needs to overcome some barriers and rework some aspects of its propulsion design.
