Tesla hypercar space-like

It’s been 10 years and Tesla is yet again teasing about a 1,000 km hypercar that will make a mythical return with a mysterious twist. Elon Musk’s delayed hypercar is said to have quite the rocket-like twist if Musk’s hopes for product holds true. The hypercar is said to be able to rocket from 0 to 60 mph in 1,9 seconds making it a visionary vehicle in the EV vehicles line up. Production timelines are constantly changing, and the question remains whether the new hypercar could lead an entire revolution. The rocket technology hypercar twist is surely something to consider.

Rising up now after 10 years of delayed promises

Tesla initially teased about this Roadster prototype in 2017, hinting that production would begin in 2020. The production of this iconic vehicle had been delayed since then. The vehicle that boasted incredible specs offering a 620-mile range never materialized and perhaps could be seen as an EV promise that Tesla could not live up to.

To date, the Roadster is still in design development and has not yet reached the production stages which it was expected to by May this year. While Musk further hinted that engineering on the Roadster would be finalized by July 2024, the Roadster is still an idea waiting to be processed. Tesla has also shied away from discussing this vehicle launch or any such Roadster vehicle lineups during interviews.

The hushed tone in relation to the Roadster is further complicated by the mere fact that Tesla owes free Roadsters to customers part and parcel of the referral program that helped drive sales. Roadster’s production timeline is vague.

A roadster with rocket potential

Tesla had the intention of fitting hypercars with aerospace-grade propulsion to improve acceleration, cornering, and braking. Musk is still adamant that this can be achieved.

As per the SpaceX package, thrusters would be behind the license plates ensuring optimal performance comparable to that of an aircraft. The minimalistic design along with a silent propulsion system was what got the car the nickname, the “stealth hypercar.”

Tesla’s Roadster was the first car to draw inspiration from space but is still being accused of all pomp and splendor as this rocket-like vision still needs to be brought to the fore.

This Roadster initiative seems like a project still in infancy stages much like Tesla’s Cybertruck range extender that we recently said goodbye to. The Cybertruck also experienced all the hype but never quite materialized as expected.

Roadster project merely in infancy stages

The Roadster may be a futuristic dream that will never hit the market as it would start off being in the red zone due to all unpaid obligations as per the referral programs and discounts on offer because of it. Tesla is slowly releasing new vehicles and is being accused of failing to deliver on promises made. There has not been any announcement on the real reason for the delay of the Roadster and perhaps we will never know why the delay.

The Roadster according to Musk will be, “the cherry on the icing on the cake.” For now, the promises offered by this 1,000 km hypercar that is somewhat out of space remains unmet and we have to see if the Roadster ever becomes a reality for enthusiastic Tesla fans and those who were part of the referral program.

Tesla’s Roadster is still where it is all those years ago. A mere ambition waiting to hit the ground, but no news has been given as to when the Roadster will be ready to hit American roads. With Tesla also abandoning electric label, Tesla surely is radically shifting its identity and leaving many projects that have been hinted at somewhat abandoned.
