Self-consumption of energy is advancing almost unstoppably throughout America, but we are still overly dependent on solar panels. Today, something has made us wonder: What do we need them for? The reality is that there are more and more innovations, and we’ve come up with one you’ll want for your home today. This is the first tree that produces clean and free electricity, with a look as natural as futuristic (difficult balance) that you will love, and that, fortunately, is coming to our market in the short term.
This tree with LED lights produces energy at home: Why do we need conventional solar panels?
Pumped by New World Wind, a French company, the Aeroleaf wind tree is a new generation of renewable energy similar to wind and solar systems. The goal of this new technology is to outcompete solar panel technology, which in this context could be seen as ugly and inefficient, for use in the urban and rural settings.
Suspended from the bottom of each of the leaves are petals with efficient photovoltaic cells that make the Aeroleaf Hybrid a wind and solar power generator. Aeroleaf Hybrid is created to be quite portable, with the capability of including or excluding the connected solar panels depending on the consumer’s preference.
It’s customizable, futuristic and perfect for your garden: You can even charge your EVs
Since its establishment in 2017, New World Wind has placed 130 Aeroleaf wind trees in Europe, North America, South America, Africa, and Asia. These installations also show the increasing customer need for advanced RE technologies. But, Mark relays that New World Wind has future design drawings set to debut this month to potentially triple the Aeroleaf’s efficiency.
With the above-mentioned improved design, each blade can produce up to 1000 Kwh per year, thus a maximum annual production capacity of 36,000 Kwh for a Wind Tree containing 36-blades given a wind speed of 12m/ s. However, for wind conditions, it is noteworthy to mention that conditions will not always be favorable all year.
From Wind Tree to Wind Bush: This is how you fill your garden with free energy (and “nature”)
New World Wind has various options ranging from customization of the trunks, the branches’ colors of the trees, and the leaves’ colors. This makes the Aeroleaf wind tree blend well with the surrounding environment or the company’s colors and logo.
Other accessories fit into the wind tree structure, including lamps made of LEDs or charging points for electric cars.
For the purpose of this project, the Aeroleaf wind tree can be availed in several forms, which may include;
- The biggest model, called The Wind Tree, includes three steel stems and as many Aeroleafs: 36 pieces in total with a charge of 10.8 kW. This makes it ideal for the big families and firms since it will cater to all the 20 to 25 people that it is required to feed.
- The Modular Tree has the most versatility; one can select between 3 and 5 trunks and 18 to 30 Aeroleafs; the greatest capacity ranges from 5. The power modulated varies from 4 kW up to 9 kW.
- A somewhat less massive and occupied variation called Wind Bush contains 12 Aeroleafs and 16 solar panels and has 4.2 kW of capacity, which is well suited for small communities as well as neighborhoods.
- The Lotus, which is the smallest model in the range, comes with 12 Aeroleafs and has a carrying capacity of 3. 6 kW, this machine is ideal for spaces that are more confined and would not be extensive, such as the backyard or driveway.
A photovoltaic tree may sound like science fiction, but it is an invention that has proven to work and be realistic. The idea behind Aeroleaf is to produce free energy without the need to install solar panels, which look much less subtle and natural (logically), not to mention that they require too much space. Maybe at this point, you remember some solutions, such as flexible cells or even photovoltaic paint that turns your walls into energy generators.
