At the Husum Wind Energy Exhibition 2010, Vestas Northern Europe signed a basic service contract with ZF Services. This makes ZF Services one of the preferred strategic service partners in Northern Europe.
ZF Services is the only independent multi-brand company with a four MW load test bench. Gears are run on a test rig under a simulated load to measure both structure-borne and airborne noise and analyze wear patterns under load. Additionally, ZF Services offers field technicians both on-shore and off-shore to perform endoscopic inspections, vibration measurements and replacement of individual components. In order to minimize production losses during repair work, ZF Services currently inventories bearing kits and replacement gears to facilitate quicker repair times.
